Inertia Health Group
This project saw the transformation of an empty old warehouse into a modern medical practice for a team of Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists, Massage Therapists and Dietitians.
Brand new spaces were created for a reception waiting area, consulting rooms, kitchen, staff amenities, laundry, sterilising room, pilates room and a fully equipped gym with changerooms.
A combination of black aluminium full height glazed partitions, a reception counter featuring wooden paneling with stone benchtop and timber flooring created a modern and warm effect.
The old warehouse was also freshened and brightened up with new tile grid ceilings and LED lights throughout.

As part of the transformation the consulting rooms where fitted with carpet tiles and joinery, the gym with rubber mats and synthetic turf. Full height tiling to the staff amenities, accessible and changerooms, with compact laminate toilet and shower partitions. Joinery was installed in the kitchen, staff room, laundry, sterilising and storage rooms.
New mechanical, electrical, fire and data services were installed, along with new timber doors, hardware and timber skirtings throughout, the building was painted internally and externally and fitted with signage.

Project Challenges
As many projects do, this one came with a few of its own challenges. Pressure on material lead times and labour shortages due to COVID-19 lockdowns coupled with construction over the Christmas holiday period, whilst staying on track to meet the 12 week delivery timeline.
Working within an old warehouse facility structure, hidden issues were encountered with the original installation of services that required alternate services navigation to suit the required engineering layout as well as structural elements that required design alterations to suit the structural as built conditions.
